Expectant Mom - February 12

Hello there.

I just wanted to ask to those who have an idea on how frequently a couple should have sex when trying to conceive.

Thanks.

Brienda - February 12

Thrice in a week, no more no less.

Lourdes - February 12

Daily sex is said to improve the sperm quality.

Ave - February 12

Daily? Are you sure of that?

Leanne M. - February 12

I beg to disagree on everyday sex. Daily sex was believed to reduce a man’s sperm count that is why experts advised against it.

Delilah - February 12

You must be this hardworking to do it daily then. But if we really desire to conceive, doing it daily is not a big issue. Why not?

Lanie Lee - February 12

What I have learn is that abstaining from sex for a few days before ovulation helped build up a man’s sperm count thus improving the chances of conceiving. Quite contradicting and confusing.

Dianne - February 12

Reports said that having daily sex is now believed to be a good thing for couples who are trying to conceive.

Sandra - February 12

Maybe daily sex only applies to couple with relatively normal semen parameters. So they should have sex daily for up to a week before the ovulation date in order to conceive.

Solenn - February 12

Doing it daily might affect the quality and the volume of the semen.

There are a lot of disputes about the frequency but for me, I firmly believe that it depends on the partner and their condition. If they can sustain doing it daily and without affecting the quality and the volume of the semen, then much better. The chance of conceiving is excellent.

Eating aphrodisiac foods might be of help for partners to be able to make it daily or as frequent as it should be in order to conceive.
