It's honestly not that bad. If you've had sex before you will feel little to nothing. If you are a virgin, I'm sure it will hurt because your hymen is being broken. There's a little discomfort, but no pain. You will be fine.

Well it's not metal anymore. I went for a national screening recently. I've never been for a full exam but this was to check to see if I had any unusual bacteria growing.

It's not painful, just a little uncomfortable. I've had a lot worse happen, when in hospital, to me. They just apply lots of KY jelly to some plastic separators (I was told they used to use metal one in the past but they were cold so they changed them) and gently insert them into your vagina. Then they use a swab to take some cells from your cervix. It's all done quite quickly.

I only found it uncomfortable because the only time I'm ever in that position is to have sex and you have to be in the mood/ relaxed. Just try and stay relaxed. The nurse will be female and will do her best to keep you relaxed.

I've tried that kind of checkup once, it wasn't bad like I expected it. It was quick and I did not feel any pain at all. If you're not a virgin, you'll only feel a little tingle because of the gel they use when inserting the tool to your hymen. Rest assured it's not painful.

This kind of examination is not really bad as what is in your mind it is just a quick exam, during the examination, you must relax and nothing is painful.

I was examined by an ob-gyne. I was lying then the dictor told me to stay relax and inhale deeply. Then in a minute,..it is already done.
