Abnormal period - lasting 3 days
3 Replies
Graycism - November 4

I had an abortion 18 months ago. My menstruation over the past few months has been noticeably different. My average menstrual cycle has increased from 29 days to 32 days. My most recent period brought severe cramps, nausea, and fatigue. Since high school I have had intense cramps during the first two-three days of my period, but my recent periods have been different. The pain only lasts a day or two, and my heavy flow has subsided (dramatically) after two days. I have had a history of clots, even before my surgery. But, as with the recent cycle, I noticed more clots and a darker colored (almost brown) discharge. I am becoming worried that I may have future fertility issues due to my surgery. I am also well aware that I should go to a doctor. I am currently searching for a new physician, specially one who will not judge or look down upon my past decisions. I am a woman who made some mistakes in her passed. I am now in search of answers to the changes in my cycle and am hoping past mistakes will not affect my future.

you need medical help and that's all you need to think of right now. don't mind what people say against you, it wont help you get better anyway.

sorry if i'll sound a bit mean, but starting off your posts about having an abortion before is simply not right. doctors in general has this principle of doctor-patient confidentiality, so whatever the reasons you had about having an abortion is not an issue. what matters to them is the medical condition you have.
