I am 54 years old and going thru menopuase ,still have my uterus ,overies etc, my last period was March 12th 2014 ,and my current Dr keeps pushing or more like forcing me to have a pap test, my question is do I really need a pap test if I am not sexually active for over 13 years? I have been with the same guy ,who by the way is disabled and we choose not to have sex, I was married previous to this,for over 27 years, so I only had 2 sex partners my whole life.My last pap test was 5 years ago and it was normal and always has been ,I hate pap tests because they are always too rough during the exam and I have bleeding and wind up sore for days ,I have told Drs to be more gentle but that falls on deaf ears.I feel since I am not sexualy active, that I really dont need one.I have a rare disease Addisons Disease and see a Dr for that ,she has me have my blood work done every 3 months and if I had cancer would it not show up on my labs ?
