Tampons, clots & pain
9 Replies
mystress36 - November 17

I'm 36 & I have been using tampons for quite some time now. However this time around it hurts to insert them, while they are in, and taking them out as well. It feels like someone is taking their hands and trying to pull me apart, extremely painful. I am also clotting a lot more than normal; in fact in the last 30 minutes I have been to the bathroom 4 times because the pain is so intense, (I am not wearing a tampon right now, it hurt too bad), and it felt like I had to pee, when instead I passed a clot. I don't know what to do here, I'm taking 4 ibuprofen every 4 to 6 hours. If you have any advice, I will take anything right now..I'm kinda tired of this crap...Thank you.

Even though I am not wearing a tampon, that feeling of being ripped in two has not went away, until the ibuprofen kicks in...

it's because tampons are really not advisable to wear for a long time. it can cause cancer and some kind of infection which i don't remember but i know can cause death. visit your doctor very soon.

TSS or toxic shock syndrome appears to be a greater risk among women
who's been using tampons for years and years.stop using it, see a doctor
and stay safe!

I PERSONALLY DON'T WANT TO USE TAMPONS BECAUSE IT'S NOT REALLY HYGIENIC.

there are several reasons having discomfort upon insertion and removal of tampon and one of which is when you forgot to take off old tampon.

maybe you have pelvic prolapse. visit your gyno and ask about it.

It could also mean having a vaginal cyst, although it is very rare, you still need a check-up.

make sure upon insertion or even during removal of your tampon to do the correct and proper way.

Normally, tampon should not be that painful. Maybe you are inserting it the wrong way.
