Rosie - April 2

I am pregnant, but unfortunately I've found at this moment of time that I have an OSTEOPOROSIS. Could this defects could be passed on to my child inside my womb?

I don't think so..it's not a hereditary disease that can be pass by the mother to her baby in the womb. So don't worry..it's so not true!

For me, I agree that it can be passed on to the child, from the mother to her child. If the mother has an osteoporosis it must be expected that the baby has this kind of illness sooner or later this would come out.

This can be passed on of course. The mother has osteoporosis, her genes has used by the child in order that the child could grow inside the womb,so it is expected that the baby has also osteoporosis.

osteoporosis makes bones brittle and apt to break, but there may be ways of preventing it, or at least staving it off. referred your problem to your ob-gyne.

If the mother is pregnant and she has osteoporosis, then she automatically pass it on to her baby in the womb.

yes indeed... certainly it appears that the genetic tendency in getting osteoporosis can be passed through either your father's or your mother's family.

whatever the condition a woman is feeling or having during her pregnancy can be pass it on to her baby..and osteoporosis is not an exception.

Osteoporosis, may cause of lack of calcium of the body. and one can achieve calcium through drinking of milk, fruits and vegetable, etc. So why not be intelligent enough in taking foods rich in calcium?

it is a hereditary case. but it can also acquired from the environment.

Yeah, it could be pass it on especially if a woman is pregnant, it is very much possible that a baby could also be having osteoporosis,in the future.

Not totally that it may be pass on but there's a possibility that the baby may have this illness in her/his genes already. But according to my source that environment can have its healing power. Like: if the baby grow in the remote areas, then the food there are all fresh, there's a possibility that the illness can be prevented to prosper.
