Taboo foods are foods which people abstain from eating especially during pregnancy because of religious, cultural and hygienic reason..But i really don't believe in this..for me this is only a myth.

There are some food taboos that have been passed down from the old generations. That includes: eating black sauce, mutton and 'cooling foods' like watermelon, coconut water and pineapple. But there is no medical evidence against the consumption of these foods during pregnancy.I think this is not true because when i was pregnant i used to eat pineapple and watermelon.

I really don't believe in any of these taboo food beliefs. But I guess it's up to the mother or the pregnant woman to decide whether she will follow the beliefs of others rather than trusting her own instinct.

It's only a MISCONCEPTION..it's not really true. When I was pregnant last 2007,my grandmother told me not to eat GIZZARD because it's not good but i didn't listen to her coz i really want to eat it together with chicken liver. There's no harmful effects.

When we are pregnant, it is very essential to be very careful on the foods we eat. There are times that you can't eat you favorite food. That may sound difficult but you have to accept it.
